Meet Angelica
Therapist
Angelica quickly learned how passionate she was about the brain and body from her early experiences within high school. It was clear she had gained a passion in helping others with physical activity and living a healthier, well-balanced lifestyle.

After graduating high school, she became a personal trainer through NASM, which led to further certifications as a nutritionist and corrective exercise. She then graduated in 2019 with a Neuroscience degree from Regis University in Colorado. While being a student, she gained many different experiences like working as a researcher's assistant in two different cognitive-behavioral studies; working in two well-known chiropractic clinics in the Boulder area; mentored by local sports physical therapists; all while continuing her 1-1 personal training career at a nearby athletic club.

Currently, Angelica loves working at her office in downtown Houston,
spending time at the gym, painting, traveling, reading, listening to live music, or finding an outside activity. She hopes to continue providing true solutions to her clients' physical pains by finding routines to compensate their active/stationary lifestyles.
What is Neuromuscular therapy?
Neuromuscular therapy is a type of Holistic therapy that includes the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This specialized technique balances the central & peripheral nervous system by using a specialized form of manual therapy to manipulate the soft tissue of the body. Soft tissue includes muscles, tendons, and connective tissue that surround bones & joints. It is a process that restores the mechanical structure in motion and the postural integrity of the body. NMT removes limited mobility, common dysfunction, reduces energy loss, reduces inflammation, and improves the natural biomechanics of the body.
Neuromuscular therapy can be considered a type of investigating technique by using advanced concepts like pressure therapy to break the cycle of stress-tension-pain. Soft tissue manipulation techniques realign the central nervous system (brain, spinal column, and nerves) in order to prevent body aches and pains. This will result in total stress relief and can prevent future injuries from occurring.
Everybody holds the key to their own healing, but sometimes the body needs a little help. That’s where my services come in. As an experienced Holistic Therapist, I work with you to restore your balance and to find your center.
